Participants can expect to work hard. Participants can expect to recover credits, earn credits, and if eligible, earn your high school diploma or prepare for the HiSet. Participants can expect to improve important life skills. With these tools, participants can expect to live a fulfilling life as contributing and proud citizens. Support
We provide every participant a comprehensive support package, from appropriate clothing to residential training facilities.
Mentorship
Mentoring at BBYCA supports our program goals through real-life stories of cadets, staff, and experts in the field. We meet or exceed national mentoring standards established by the National Mentoring Partnership. These standards encompass mentor recruiting, screening, training, matching, monitoring, and support.
The National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program is the only program of its kind that provides graduates with a personal mentor for one year to help participants transition into adulthood. If interested in becoming a mentor and you are able to commit to the youth and to the program, please complete the application forms.
